Cyfarthfa Park Relocation News   

       Officers of the Society are curreuntly in talks with Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, in planning the relocation of the miniature railway, to another area within Cyfarthfa Park. Funding has been sourced through Head of the Valley Initative, with the funding and work to be completed by late 2010.

A planning application is currently being processed, through the Council Planning Commitee, and once permission is granted, work will commence as planned in late 2010.

The 1s phase of the works will incude a Society run Engineering Learning Centre, where new skills will taught to exisiting, new and potential members. In this building classes will be run to teach people new hands on skills, in Engineering, Gardening, Locomotive Construction, Maintainace and Repair.
